eSMART is an ambitious project, that brings together vertical farming standardisation, food, health, transgenerational heritage and education. It also includes new practices for Research and Innovation where citizens become co-researchers and change-makers.
The long term vision is to create spaces for transdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary innovation, from a local perspective. It develops around various SDGs -such as health care, youth employment, food security, environmental justice and gender equity-. This operational model will be scaled and analysed in other European countries.
Modular/Nomadic Greenhouse Systems
The peri-urban areas of many European cities can thus become a place of meeting, reflection and project development. The project, therefore, has a logic of territory that does not only concern an urban centre/capital of a region but also fosters dialogue with many small towns with the typical criticalities of the small centres of inner territories.
